Stakeholders

SelectOrganic works closely with a wide range of stakeholders across Europe to ensure that the project’s results are relevant, accessible, and ready for uptake in organic aquaculture. Through a dedicated work package on communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement and exploitation (WP7), the project ensures that knowledge, tools, and innovations reach the people who can use them.

SelectOrganic engages stakeholders across the entire organic aquaculture value chain, including:

  • Breeding companies and hatcheries

  • Fish farmers (organic and conventional transitioning to organic)

  • Feed producers

  • Organic certification bodies and NGOs

  • Researchers and academic institutions

  • Policymakers and public authorities

  • Industry organisations and farmer associations

  • Consumers and the general public

SelectOrganic will ensure transparent, continuous communication through:

  • Stakeholder Advisory Forum (SAF) for direct dialogue and feedback

  • Regular news bulletins (M6, M18, M30, M42)

  • Fact sheets for each target species

  • End‑user materials and an industry booklet

  • Workshops, webinars, and training courses

  • Articles in professional magazines

  • A policy brief for decision‑makers

  • Scientific publications and conference presentations

  • Social media updates on Twitter/X, LinkedIn, ResearchGate and Facebook

  • Cooperation and clustering with sister and other relevant projects

  • A final international conference to present and discuss results

All materials will be made available through the SelectOrganic website and shared widely across digital channels.
